TRENDnet TPE-2840WS 28-Port Gigabit Web Smart PoE+ Switch
24× Gigabit PoE+185W PoE BudgetWeb Smart L2+4× RJ45/SFP Combo
The TRENDnet TPE-2840WS is a 28-port Gigabit web smart PoE+ switch with 24 PoE+ ports and a 185W power budget, built to power and manage IP cameras, access points and VoIP phones across a small or medium business. Part number TPE-2840WS adds four shared RJ45/SFP combo uplinks and Layer 2+ smart features such as VLANs and QoS, all in a 1U rack chassis. Typically in stock with fast delivery across Cyprus.
Compatibility — check before buying:
All 24 access ports are PoE+ capable at up to 30W each, but the shared 185W budget means you cannot run every port at full power simultaneously — it comfortably powers a full set of typical 7-15W cameras or phones. Each of the four combo uplinks shares one interface with its paired SFP slot, so use the RJ45 or the SFP per port, not both. As a web smart switch it provides VLANs and QoS but not full Layer 3 routing.
Best For
✓SMB IP camera and CCTV networks
✓Office LANs with VoIP phones and access points
✓VLAN-segmented business deployments
✓Sites needing a fibre uplink through SFP
✓Growing networks with up to 24 PoE devices
✓1U rack cabinet installations
Key Features
24 PoE+ Ports, 185W Budget
Twenty-four Gigabit ports each deliver up to 30W of PoE+ from a shared 185W budget, powering cameras, phones and access points over a single cable each.
Web Smart L2+ Management
VLANs, QoS, IGMP snooping, link aggregation and port controls give you traffic segmentation and prioritisation through a simple web interface.
4 Shared RJ45/SFP Combo Uplinks
Four combo ports let you uplink over copper RJ45 or fibre SFP to a core switch, adding flexibility and reach to the backbone.
56 Gbps Fabric, Lifetime Warranty
A non-blocking 56 Gbps switching fabric handles all ports at full speed, backed by TRENDnet's lifetime protection.

Singular Expert Insight
The TPE-2840WS is a cost-effective way to run a 24-camera or 24-phone PoE network with proper VLAN segmentation, without paying for a full managed L3 switch. Just size your PoE draw against the 185W budget — high-power PTZ cameras will fill it faster than fixed dome units. For heavier PoE needs, a higher-budget model in our network switches range is worth considering. Pair it with cameras from our IP cameras category for a complete, VLAN-isolated surveillance system.
Buyer's Guide
Buy it if
You want to power and VLAN-segment up to 24 cameras, phones or access points on a 185W budget, with copper or fibre uplinks.
Skip it if
You need more than 185W of PoE, full Layer 3 routing, or dedicated (non-shared) SFP uplinks.
Also consider
A higher-budget PoE+ switch if your devices are power-hungry, or a Layer 3 managed switch for inter-VLAN routing.
