Trodat ID Protector+ — roll over the address label instead of shredding the whole box
3-in-125 mm rollerCeramic bladesRefillable
The Trodat ID Protector+ (199525) is an ink roller that covers personal data — names, addresses, order numbers, account details — with a dense concealing pattern so it can no longer be read, combined with an integrated box opener and letter opener with ceramic blades. It is for home offices and small businesses that receive parcels and letters every day and want to bin or recycle the packaging without leaving their details readable.
One pass of the 25 mm roller covers a typical address line. The special black ink cannot be washed off, erased or faded by sunlight, works on glossy paper and labels, and Trodat rates it at roughly 100 m of rolled impression before refilling.
Before you order: This roller hides data; it does not destroy the paper. For bank statements and full documents that must be destroyed, use a shredder.
What's in the Box
- 1 × Trodat ID Protector+ roller (red housing) with integrated ceramic box and letter opener, ink-filled and ready to use
- Whether refill-ink bottles are packed with this code is not confirmed by Trodat — ask us if you need them included
What It Means in Practice
- Roll over the shipping label on parcels before recycling the box — no peeling labels or cutting out addresses.
- The same tool opens the parcel tape and envelopes, so it sits by the door or on the desk as one device.
- Ink is indelible to DIN ISO 14145-2 and dermatologically tested.
- Ergonomic housing works in either hand.
- Refillable with Trodat "Refill Inks ID Protector & ID Protector+" (3 bottles, black).
What Will Not Work
- It does not shred or destroy documents; very sensitive paperwork still belongs in a shredder.
- The pattern prints in black only.
- The ceramic blade is meant for tape, cardboard and envelopes, not for thick plastic packaging.
- A single pass covers up to 25 mm of height; larger blocks of text need several passes.
