Trodat 6/4817 Replacement Ink Pad — Red, Pack of 2
2 pads · red inkFits Printy 4817 / 4812 / 4813Indelible, archivable inkMade in Austria
The Trodat 83478 is a pack of two 6/4817 replacement ink pads with red ink — the original Trodat refill for the Printy 4817, 4812, 4813, 48313 and 4917 self-inking stamps, for restoring a faded impression in seconds instead of replacing the stamp.
Trodat specifies the ink as indelible (DIN ISO 14145-2) and archivable (DIN ISO 11798), so stamped dates, “PAID” or “RECEIVED” marks and signatures stay legible on documents that must be kept. The pad is precisely metered, which keeps impressions clean and even over its service life.
Before you order: This pad fits only Printy 4817, 4812, 4813, 48313 and 4917. Check the model number on the side or bottom of your stamp before ordering — other Printy sizes need a different 6/48xx pad.
What's in the Box
- 2 Trodat 6/4817 replacement ink pads, red ink
What It Means in Practice
- Changing the pad takes seconds: press the stamp halfway down, pull the old pad out sideways and push the new one in.
- Two pads in one pack: one in use, one ready for when the impression fades again.
- Red ink is often used for “PAID”, “COPY” or “URGENT” stamps so they stand out from black text.
What Will Not Work
- It does not fit other Printy models (e.g. 4910, 4911, 4912, 4913, 4915) — those use different pads.
- It will not change the colour of an existing stamp without changing the pad — and mixing ink colours on one pad is not recommended.
- This is not a two-colour pad: for blue/red two-colour stamps Trodat offers 6/4817/2.
- It is a pre-inked pad, not a bottle of refill ink.

Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
Replacing the pad is far cheaper than replacing a custom text stamp, and an archivable ink matters for invoices and receipts that must be kept for years. Confirm your stamp model first and see our stationery range for more office supplies.
✓ Buy it if you use a Trodat Printy 4817, 4812, 4813, 48313 or 4917 with red ink and the impression is fading.
✕ Skip it if your stamp is a different Printy size or you need a two-colour pad.
→ Also consider Trodat 6/4817 in black or blue for your other stamps.
Not sure which pad your stamp takes? Send us the model number or a photo of the stamp and we will check it before you order.
