Tucano Rollo — Roll-Top Backpack for 15.6″ Laptops and the MacBook Pro 16″, in Recycled PET
Roll-top closure15.6″ laptop / MacBook Pro 16″90% recycled PETWater-resistant fabric
The Tucano Rollo, part number BKROL15-B, is a roll-top backpack for laptops up to 15.6 inches and for the 16-inch MacBook Pro, whose smaller body fits the same compartment. Tucano makes the main fabric from 90% recycled PET with 10% polyurethane and lines it in 100% recycled PET, and the material is resin-coated so it resists water. The layout is deliberately simple: one roomy main compartment behind the roll-top, an internal padded laptop pocket and a front accessory pocket, with padded adjustable shoulder straps. This variant is the blue one — Tucano’s -B suffix stands for Blu. Typically in stock with fast delivery across Cyprus.
Compatibility — check before buying:
Colour: the suffix in BKROL15-B is Tucano’s code for Blu (blue). The black version is BKROL15-BK and the military green is BKROL15-VM. If you are looking for black, this is not the right part number. Laptop fit: 15.6″ laptops and the MacBook Pro 16″ from 2019 onwards. Distributor data derived from Tucano gives a suggested maximum device footprint of 36.5 x 25 x 2 cm and a laptop compartment of 365 x 250 x 20 mm; Tucano itself does not publish either figure, so treat them as indicative. Closure wording: Tucano’s Italian page describes the bag as roll-top in the title and as a drawstring closure in the feature list. Every retailer and the product name treat it as a roll-top. Not published by Tucano: volume in litres, weight, tablet compartment size, trolley pass-through strap, water-bottle pocket, chest strap, padded back panel, reflective elements, RFID and rain cover. We do not claim any of them.
Best For
✓ Commuters who want a simple, single-compartment backpack
✓ MacBook Pro 16″ owners looking for a recycled-material bag
✓ People who prefer a roll-top that adjusts to how full the bag is
✓ Buyers who want a documented recycled fabric rather than a vague eco claim
Key Features
Roll-top that grows and shrinks
The roll-top closure lets the bag stay compact when it is half empty and expand when it is not, without the fixed shape of a zipped lid. It also keeps the opening covered rather than exposed at the top.
90% recycled PET, resin coated
Tucano publishes the composition precisely: the main fabric is 90% recycled polyethylene terephthalate with 10% polyurethane, and the secondary fabric is 100% recycled PET. The resin coating makes the material water resistant.
Sized for the MacBook Pro 16
The internal padded laptop pocket takes 15.6-inch notebooks and the 2019-onward MacBook Pro 16, which has a smaller footprint than most 15.6″ Windows machines despite the larger screen number.
Deliberately simple
One roomy main compartment, one internal laptop pocket, one front accessory pocket, and padded adjustable shoulder straps. That is Tucano’s complete published layout — there is no organiser panel and no side pocket to add bulk.

Singular Expert Insight
The Rollo is an unusually honest bag. Tucano publishes an exact fabric composition — 90% recycled PET with 10% polyurethane, lined in 100% recycled PET — which is more specific than most brands manage, and then publishes a layout of three pockets and stops. There is no invented feature list. That simplicity is the point: a roll-top with one big compartment is a different proposition from a structured commuter pack, and it suits people who carry a laptop, a jacket and whatever else the day requires rather than a fixed set of items in fixed places. Two things to check before ordering. The part-number suffix is the trap: -B is blue, not black, and it catches people out constantly. And Tucano publishes no volume, no weight and no trolley strap for this bag, so if any of those are decision criteria for you, this is not the model to choose on faith. Browse the rest of our laptop backpacks and cases, and our docking stations if you would rather not carry peripherals in it.
Buyer’s Guide
Buy it if
You want a simple roll-top backpack in a documented recycled fabric for a 15.6-inch laptop or a MacBook Pro 16, and you like the blue colourway and a single large compartment over a heavily divided commuter pack.
Skip it if
You wanted the black version — that is BKROL15-BK — or you need a trolley pass-through, a water-bottle pocket, an organiser panel, or a published volume and weight before buying.
Also consider
The Tucano Rollo in Nero (BKROL15-BK) or Verde militare (BKROL15-VM) for the same bag in a different colour, or a structured commuter backpack if you need organiser pockets and a trolley strap.
