Tucano Lato BLABK — 17″ Laptop Backpack, Black
Fits 17″ laptopsMacBook Pro 16″ including M4Recycled PET inside and outTrolley strap and tablet pocket
The Tucano Lato is a black backpack for 17-inch laptops, made from fabric recycled from plastic — Tucano specifies 100 percent recycled PET for both the outer and the lining. The main compartment holds a padded laptop sleeve plus a separate internal tablet pocket, and the front carries a zip organiser pocket for pens, cards and cables with a smaller zipped accessories pocket above it. A discreet port lets you run earphone cables out of the bag, two elastic side pockets take a bottle or an umbrella, and a rear trolley strap slides the pack onto rolling luggage. The back panel is ergonomically padded and the shoulder straps are padded and adjustable. Tucano lists the bag at 35 x 48 x 18 cm and confirms compatibility with the MacBook Pro 16″ right up to the M4 Pro and Max generation. The article code is BLABK. Typically in stock with fast delivery across Cyprus.
Compatibility — check before buying:
Tucano states two fits for this bag and they are not the same number: 17″ for a generic notebook and 16″ for a MacBook Pro, the latter explicitly including the 2019, M2 Pro/Max and M4 Pro/Max models. Older reseller listings still say “MacBook Pro 17″” — that is legacy copy from before Apple stopped making one. Be aware that Tucano publishes no volume in litres, no weight and no internal compartment dimensions for the Lato, so we do not quote any; if the exact litre figure matters to you, choose a bag whose maker publishes it. There is no USB charging port — the opening on the bag is an earphone cable port, which is a very different thing — and Tucano publishes no water-resistance claim, no rain cover and no reflective elements.
Best For
✓ Carrying a 17″ notebook or a 16″ MacBook Pro
✓ Buyers who want recycled fabric throughout, not just in the shell
✓ Commuters who need a tablet in its own pocket
✓ Travellers who stack a backpack on wheeled luggage
✓ Listening to music with the cable routed out of the bag
✓ Anyone who wants a plain, unbranded-looking work backpack
Key Features
Padded sleeve for a 17-inch machine
The main compartment carries a padded laptop sleeve sized for 17-inch notebooks, and Tucano separately confirms the MacBook Pro 16″ fits — including the current M4 Pro and Max models, which is a useful sign that the listing is actively maintained rather than legacy.
Recycled PET inside and out
Tucano specifies fabric recycled from plastic for both the primary material and the lining, each 100 percent recycled PET. Unlike bags that use recycled fabric only for the visible shell, the lining is part of the claim here.
Organised without being fussy
A zip organiser pocket on the front handles pens, cards and cables, with a smaller zipped accessories pocket for the things you reach for most. Inside, a dedicated tablet pocket keeps the tablet off the laptop screen, and two elastic side pockets take a bottle or an umbrella.
Comfortable to carry, easy to travel with
The back panel is ergonomically padded and the shoulder straps are padded and adjustable, while a rear trolley strap slides the pack over the handle of rolling luggage. A discreet port lets earphone cables out without leaving a zip open.

Singular Expert Insight
The Lato is a quiet, practical 17-inch backpack with one genuinely distinctive claim: the recycled PET is used for the lining as well as the outer, which is more than most brands do when they put a recycled badge on a bag. What it does not have is data — no litres, no weight, no compartment measurements — so if you are comparing on paper it will look thin next to a Targus or an HP that publishes everything. Judge it on the fit instead: a real 17-inch sleeve with a separate tablet pocket and a trolley strap, in two colours, from a maker that keeps its compatibility list current enough to name the M4 MacBook Pro. Browse the rest of our laptop cases and backpacks, or the laptops that go inside them.
Buyer’s Guide
Buy it if
You carry a 17″ notebook or a 16″ MacBook Pro, want a padded sleeve plus a separate tablet pocket and a trolley strap, and you want the recycled fabric to run through the lining as well as the shell.
Skip it if
You need published litres and weight to compare on paper, a water-resistant or rain-covered bag, reflective elements or a USB port. Tucano publishes none of these for the Lato.
Also consider
The blue BLABK-B version of the same Lato if you prefer that colour, an ASUS ROG BP4701 if your 17″ machine is a thick gaming laptop, or a Rivacase Biscayne 8365 for a 17.3″ pack with a USB port and published dimensions.
