The Ubiquiti UniFi UACC-DAC-SFP10-0.5M is a 10G direct attach cable, 0.5 m long, with an SFP+ plug on each end. It links two UniFi devices in the same rack — a switch to a gateway, a NAS or a stacked switch — at 1 or 10 Gbps without buying and cleaning optics. The thin 4.2 mm cable bends down to a 22 mm radius, which keeps short patching neat. Because the plugs are part of the cable, there is nothing to match at the far end and nothing to keep clean. In practice, a DAC is the cheapest and lowest-power way to join a server to its top-of-rack switch, or two switches in the same rack: pick the shortest length that reaches without strain.
Compatibility — check before buying:
At 0.5 m it reaches only between devices directly above or beside each other — measure port to port before ordering; 1 m and 3 m versions exist.
