Ubiquiti 25G Long-Range Direct Attach Cable — SFP28 Active Optical, 10 m
25 Gbps over OM3 FiberSFP28 to SFP283 mm Ultra-Thin JacketFactory-Terminated
The Ubiquiti UACC-AOC-SFP28-10M (EAN 0810010077196) is a 10-metre 25 Gbps active optical cable with factory-terminated SFP28 transceivers on both ends, built for clean high-speed uplinks between UniFi aggregation switches, gateways and servers. Unlike bulky copper DACs, its 3 mm OM3 fiber jacket routes effortlessly through dense racks and cable trays, while the powered optical ends guarantee signal integrity across the full 10 m run. It auto-negotiates down to 10 Gbps in SFP+ ports, so one cable covers both current and future links. Typically in stock with fast delivery across Cyprus.
Compatibility note: Both ends must plug into SFP28 or SFP+ cages: at 25 Gbps use SFP28 ports (e.g. USW-Pro-Aggregation, EnterpriseXG); in SFP+ ports the cable links at 10 Gbps. It is a fixed transceiver-to-transceiver assembly — it cannot be re-terminated or extended, so confirm the 10 m path before ordering.
Key Features
Active Optical, Not Copper
Powered 850 nm VCSEL optics drive OM3 multi-mode fiber, delivering 25 Gbps at 10 m — a distance where passive copper SFP28 DACs (max 3 m) cannot reach.
Rack-Friendly 3 mm Jacket
The aqua PVC jacket is barely thicker than a patch lead, with a 30 mm minimum bend radius that makes vertical cable management and tight rack corners painless.
Multi-Rate Flexibility
Runs 25 Gbps in SFP28 cages and auto-negotiates to 10 Gbps in SFP+ cages, protecting the investment as you upgrade switches at each end on different schedules.

Singular Expert Insight
For runs of 3 m or less, the passive UACC-DAC-SFP28 copper cable does the same job for less. The AOC family (5 / 10 / 20 / 30 m) is the right call the moment the link leaves the rack: lighter, thinner and immune to the signal loss that kills long copper runs. If your ports are SFP+ only, the UACC-AOC-SFP10 series is the matching 10G version. This 10 m length pairs naturally with 25G uplinks between an aggregation switch and the core switches one rack row away.
Buyer's Guide
Buy it if
You need a 25G (or future-proofed 10G) uplink of 5 - 10 m between racks or rooms, and want a thin cable that routes like a patch lead.
Skip it if
Your link is under 3 m — a passive SFP28 DAC is cheaper — or you need field-terminated / structured fiber with keystone patching.
Also consider
UACC-DAC-SFP28 (0.5 - 3 m copper), UACC-AOC-SFP28-20M/30M for longer runs, or UACC-OM-SFP28-SR modules with LC fiber for structured cabling.
