The Ubiquiti UniFi Access Door Hub (UA-Hub-Door) is the controller that sits between your readers and the lock of one door in a UniFi Access system. It takes a single PoE++ cable, powers up to four PoE+ devices such as an entry and an exit reader, and switches the electric lock through a powered 12 V relay or a dry contact. Inputs for request-to-exit, door position and remote release let it know when a door is forced or held open. In practice it is the box in the ceiling or cabinet that makes a door smart, managed from the UniFi Access app.

Compatibility — check before buying:
It needs PoE++ (802.3bt) at its input — a PoE+ switch port is not enough, and the power for readers comes out of the hub’s own 45 W budget. A 12 V lock up to 1 A runs from the powered lock relay; larger or 24 V locks need their own supply on the dry relay. It also needs a UniFi console running UniFi Access. Do not confuse it with the older UniFi Access Hub (UA-Hub) or the smaller Door Hub Mini (3 ports, no aux relays). Readers, lock and console are not included — tell us your door and we plan the set.

What powers the Door Hub?
A PoE++ (802.3bt) port on a switch or a PoE++ injector. A standard PoE+ port does not supply enough power, because the hub also powers its readers.
Can it power my lock?
Yes, a 12 V lock drawing up to 1 A runs from the powered lock relay. For other voltages or higher current, use a separate lock supply through the dry relay.
How many doors does it control?
One door, with entry and exit readers. For more doors, add one hub per door or ask us about other UniFi Access hubs.
Is a reader included?
No. Readers, lock and console are separate. The UniFi Access G2 Starter Kit Pro bundles a Door Hub with two readers.
