Ubiquiti Access Rescue KeySwitch — a manual backup entry for UniFi Access doors

Keyed overrideAccess Hub28 V DC 4 A2 keys

The Ubiquiti UniFi Access Rescue KeySwitch (UA-Rescue) is a keyed emergency override for doors controlled by a UniFi Access Hub. If the lock or reader system malfunctions, an authorised person can use the physical key to release the door. It uses a brass internal wave key switch rated 28 V DC, 4 A, with a COM/NO/NC terminal block for 18–24 AWG wire, and comes with two keys.

Compatibility — check before buying:
Ubiquiti lists the Rescue KeySwitch for the UniFi Access Hub. It gives backup entry for malfunctioning fail-safe or fail-secure locks, but it does not provide backup power: with a fail-secure lock and no power, turning the key will not open the door. Plan a battery backup for the lock if that matters. Ubiquiti does not publish an IP rating or mounting type. Tell us the exact model you have and we check compatibility before you order.

Singular Expert Insight
Every access-controlled door should have a plan B. The Rescue KeySwitch covers system faults, but for power cuts you also need the right lock type or a backup battery. Keep the keys with the facility manager, not at the door. More accessories are in our networking accessories and PoE switches in our PoE switches.
