Ubiquiti UniFi Device Bridge Pro Sector
Wi-Fi 5, 5 GHz PtMP400 Mbps at BW40Integrated 17 dBi sector1× GbE RJ45 with PoE input
The Ubiquiti UniFi Device Bridge Pro Sector (UDB-Pro-Sector) is an outdoor 5 GHz point-to-multipoint base for bridging a wired upstream network to multiple UDB Pro clients. It is a sector bridge, not a general-purpose Wi-Fi access point or wireless client; remote UDB Pro units and a compatible PoE supply are separate requirements.
Best For: For network installations needing a wired-uplink 5 GHz PtMP sector base to connect multiple UDB Pro client units. It is not suitable as a wireless-uplink client, and plain UDB units are not supported as its clients.
Before you order: Plan for a wired upstream connection, compatible PoE supply, pole mounting and separate UDB Pro clients. The Sector cannot receive a wireless uplink; plain UDB is not a supported client. The advertised distance and client count are conditional design figures, not guarantees. Check local radio regulations, line of sight, alignment and interference. IPX6 does not mean dustproof IP66 or submersible.
What's in the Box
- One white Ubiquiti UDB-Pro-Sector device
- Pole-mount clamp/bracket components and small fastening hardware
What It Means in Practice
- Connect the single GbE RJ45 port to the wired upstream network; it also accepts PoE input and does not provide PoE output.
- Use the Sector as the PtMP parent and separate UDB Pro units as remote clients. The Sector itself cannot act as a wireless client, and plain UDB is unsupported as its client.
- The 400 Mbps figure is maximum wireless PHY rate at BW40, not a promised client or application throughput. Manufacturer distance and client-count figures depend on installation conditions.
- Mount on a 24–60 mm diameter pole. Allow for the stated 360.9 × 129.6 × 71.4 mm external dimensions and plan outdoor line of sight, alignment and locally permitted radio settings.
What Will Not Work
- A wired upstream network is required; the Sector cannot receive a wireless uplink or operate as a client.
- Remote UDB Pro client units are required for the supported PtMP setup; plain UDB is not a supported client.
- A compatible PoE supply and Ethernet cable are separate requirements; no PoE adapter is included and the device has no PoE output/pass-through.
- The device has one GbE RJ45 port, not two; its wired port is not 2.5G.
- The maximum 400 Mbps PHY rate is at BW40 and is not guaranteed application throughput. Advertised range and 50+ client capacity are not guaranteed.
- IPX6 specifies water protection; it does not establish IP66 dust protection, submersion suitability or an absolute all-weather guarantee.
- Actual permitted radio channels and power depend on local regulatory requirements; the worldwide frequency listing does not mean every listed frequency is permitted in Cyprus.
Key Features
PtMP sector base
Provides wireless connectivity to multiple UDB Pro clients when connected to a wired upstream network.
Integrated 17 dBi antenna
A 90° sector design for planned outdoor links; distance depends on line of sight, alignment, clients and local conditions.
Single GbE with PoE input
One port handles the wired network connection and PoE input; arrange a compatible supply separately.
Outdoor mounting and protection
Pole mount fits 24–60 mm poles and the enclosure is rated IPX6 for water protection.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can the Sector connect wirelessly to an upstream access point?
No. It provides wireless connectivity to clients but cannot receive a wireless uplink or act as a client. A wired upstream network is required.
Which remote units are supported?
The supported client is UDB Pro. Plain UDB is not supported as a Sector client; client units are separate requirements.
Is a PoE adapter included?
No PoE adapter is included in the reviewed package image. Arrange a compatible supply for the 42.5–57 V DC input separately.
Does 5 km or 50+ clients guarantee coverage?
No. These are manufacturer design/marketing figures, not guarantees; suitable outdoor planning, line of sight, alignment, compatible clients and local radio settings matter.
Singular Expert Insight
The exact Sector model pairs a 17 dBi integrated sector antenna with a single GbE/PoE-input port and connects to UDB Pro client units. Its 400 Mbps maximum PHY rate is specifically at 40 MHz bandwidth, not the regular UDB Pro's listed rate.
