Multi-gigabit PoE+ access where a wired uplink is inconvenient

The UniFi Device Bridge Switch UDB-Switch combines eight multi-gigabit PoE+ Ethernet ports with WiFi 7 bridging to compatible UniFi WiFi. Connect local wired devices while using a wireless uplink where a network cable is inconvenient. A compact white enclosure, desktop or wall mounting and a status display suit organised installations.
Best For: Existing compatible UniFi networks needing a small cluster of wired and PoE devices beyond a convenient Ethernet uplink.
Before you order: The included 60 W adapter supplies 35 W total PoE. Up to 185 W requires the separate optional 210 W adapter. Each PoE+ port supports up to 30 W, subject to the shared budget. Wireless bridging requires compatible UniFi WiFi, suitable signal and UniFi Network 10.0.156 or later; 6 GHz availability depends on regional support.
What's in the Box
- UDB-Switch and included 54 V / 1.1 A power adapter.
- Official package illustration shows mains lead, mounting plates and fixings; plug appearance can vary by region.
- Compatible UniFi AP/network infrastructure and endpoint devices purchased separately.
- Optional 210 W adapter is separate.
What It Means in Practice
- Adopt into a compatible UniFi Network deployment and plan wireless coverage at the installation location.
- Connect seven devices at up to 2.5 GbE and one at up to 10 GbE, subject to endpoint and cable capability.
- Budget all powered endpoints together against the actual adapter capacity.
- Use the status display and desktop/wall placement to keep connections accessible.
What Will Not Work
- 35 W total PoE with included adapter, not 185 W.
- A 10 GbE socket does not guarantee 10 Gbps wireless throughput.
- Wireless performance depends on compatible AP, distance, interference, channel and regional settings.
- This bridge is not a promised standalone router or general-purpose access point.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does it provide 185 W out of the box?
No. The included adapter provides 35 W total PoE. The separate optional 210 W adapter enables up to 185 W.
Can it replace my router or WiFi access point?
Its documented role is a PoE+ switch with wireless bridging to compatible UniFi WiFi. Plan a suitable existing UniFi deployment.
Is wireless speed equal to the 10 GbE socket?
No. Radio figures are theoretical link rates and actual throughput depends on the wireless installation.
Are the cameras and other network devices pictured included?
No. The topology illustrates separately selected equipment.
Singular Expert Insight
Check the wireless path and power budget before counting ports. Eight PoE+ sockets can be useful with modest loads, but the included 35 W shared budget is quickly consumed. Upgrade the adapter only when the combined demand warrants it, and verify the AP, controller version and radio conditions before planning a wireless uplink.
Buyer’s Guide
✓ Buy it if You want multi-gigabit PoE+ access with a compatible UniFi wireless uplink.
✕ Skip it if You need standalone routing, guaranteed wireless throughput or 185 W PoE without an extra adapter.
→ Also consider AP compatibility, UniFi version, regional 6 GHz availability, signal conditions and combined PoE demand.
