The Ubiquiti Easy Cable 2-Pack (UACC-Cable-Extender-C6A) contains two passive, short Category 6A RJ45 extension leads for extending an existing compatible Ethernet cable in tight spaces. Each lead has a male RJ45 plug and a female RJ45 socket inside the waterproof cap assembly. It passes through PoE up to PoE+++ but does not generate power or regenerate the Ethernet signal.
Best For: Suitable when a short RJ45 extension is needed in a constrained installation and the existing cable, plug/boot geometry and cable diameter fit the supplied sealing components. The existing patch cable and connected equipment are separate.
Before you order: These are passive extension leads, not Ethernet repeaters, PoE injectors or signal converters. Each lead is 0.15 m excluding its cap and 0.185 m including it; do not treat the pair as one continuous 0.30 m cable. IPX6 applies only to the correctly assembled waterproof cap end, not the unsealed male end or the whole connected device. The existing cable must fit the appropriate supplied seal and boot geometry; choose a seal for its diameter. The cable's 3.5 mm jacket diameter does not mean every existing cable is that size. The PoE source and endpoint must independently support the chosen standard and power; this cable does not set the power budget.

- Pass the existing cable through the seal and gland that match its diameter, then connect it to the female RJ45 socket; the guide also requires compatible plug/boot geometry.
- The supplied seals cover cable diameters of 3.3–4.5 mm, 4.5–5.5 mm and 5.5–6.5 mm. Select by the existing cable's diameter, not the extension lead's 3.5 mm jacket diameter.
- Each lead measures 0.15 m without the cap and 0.185 m with it, so it is intended for a short extension rather than a long run.
- For the stated IPX6 protection, assemble the waterproof cap end with the correct seal. The rating does not cover the unsealed male end or the entire connected device.
What Will Not Work
- No active Ethernet signal regeneration, PoE power generation or signal conversion.
- IPX6 protection is limited to the correctly assembled waterproof cap end; no claim is made for the unsealed male end, whole connected device, immersion or burial.
