The Ubiquiti UniFi G5 Flex (part number UVC-G5-Flex) is a small 4MP PoE camera for UniFi Protect that can stand on a desk or shelf, or mount on a wall, ceiling or pole. Its 102° lens covers most of a room from one corner, infrared reaches 6 m, and it detects people, vehicles and animals. One network cable from a PoE switch powers it, and recordings stay on your UniFi console.

Compatibility — check before buying:
In the box: camera with desktop, wall, pole and hard-ceiling mount. Not in the box: PoE switch or injector, network cable, UniFi console / NVR. It needs a UniFi console running UniFi Protect (Cloud Gateway, Dream Machine or UniFi NVR) to record and to be managed; it is not a stand-alone camera and is not sold as ONVIF-compatible. PoE only — there is no DC socket. It needs a PoE switch port or PoE injector; the network port is 10/100. IPX4 applies only while covered — outdoors it needs a sheltered spot such as under an eave; it is not a replacement for a bullet on an open wall. Not sure it fits your setup? Frequently Asked Questions

Where does it store recordings?
There is no memory-card slot on this model, so recordings go to a network video recorder or to software that supports the camera’s stream. If you build a small NVR system, pair it with surveillance hard drives made for 24/7 writing.
How do I power it?
Through the network cable from an 802.3af/at PoE switch or injector, or from a 12 V DC adapter. Neither is included. One cable for power and data is the neatest outdoor install; see our PoE switches if you do not have one yet.
Do I need anything else to use it?
Yes — a UniFi console running UniFi Protect (Cloud Gateway, Dream Machine or UniFi NVR) and a PoE port. Optional in-ceiling, pendant and Pro mounts, and decorative covers, are sold separately.
Are the coloured covers different versions?
No. The Black, Camo, Concrete, Marble and Wood looks are separate G5 Flex covers sold as accessories; they are not colour variants of this part number.
