High-speed UniFi access with a substantial shared PoE budget
16 × 10 GbE + 8 × 2.5 GbE2 × 25G SFP28720 W shared PoELayer 3 and Etherlighting
The UniFi Pro XG 24 PoE combines sixteen 10 GbE and eight 2.5 GbE copper ports with two 25G SFP28 uplinks. All 24 copper ports support high-power PoE, sharing a 720 W budget. UniFi management, Etherlighting and local Layer 3 features suit demanding access networks with multi-gigabit endpoints.
Best For: Managed UniFi deployments with fast access points, workstations and high-power PoE devices plus compatible 25G aggregation.
Before you order: Up to 90 W per copper port is subject to the 720 W shared limit; 24 simultaneous 90 W loads are not supported. Plan a 19-inch four-post rack with 600–1,066 mm post depth, power, cooling and UniFi Network 9.1.120 or later. Optics/DACs and redundant-power equipment are separate.
What's in the Box
- USW-Pro-XG-24-PoE with internal AC power supply.
- Official package illustration shows mains lead, rack mounting rails/brackets and fixings; regional plug can vary.
- SFP28 optics/DACs, network cables and optional UniFi Power Backup selected separately.
What It Means in Practice
- Use sixteen multi-speed 10 GbE and eight 2.5 GbE ports for suitable copper endpoints.
- Connect compatible 25G, 10G or 1G modules/cables to the two SFP28 uplinks.
- Allocate PoE across all devices and leave headroom within 720 W.
- Configure VLANs, QoS, access policies, local inter-VLAN/static routing and appropriate multicast profiles.
What Will Not Work
- 720 W is a shared PoE budget, not 90 W available on all ports simultaneously.
- UniFi RPS support requires separate backup equipment and is not a built-in battery UPS.
- Layer 3 switching does not imply full firewall/WAN gateway functions.
- No optics, DACs or Etherlighting patch cables are established as included.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are there 24 or 26 network ports?
There are 24 powered copper ports plus two SFP28 uplinks, 26 total.
Can every port supply 90 W together?
No. All powered ports share the 720 W budget.
Is power backup included?
No. The USP RPS input requires separate compatible UniFi Power Backup equipment.
Is it the non-PoE Pro XG 24?
No. This exact SKU is USW-Pro-XG-24-PoE with 720 W shared PoE.
Singular Expert Insight
Size endpoint power and uplink demand together. Sixteen 10G access ports can create substantial traffic, while two 25G uplinks still have finite aggregate capacity. Check actual PoE draw, rack support and cooling before installation, then apply routing and access policies deliberately.
Buyer’s Guide
✓ Buy it if You need managed multi-gigabit copper access, high-power PoE and 25G uplinks in UniFi.
✕ Skip it if You need fanless desktop operation, built-in battery backup or all-port simultaneous 90 W output.
→ Also consider Rack depth/support, heat, PoE load, optics/DAC compatibility and controller version.
