The Ubiquiti UniFi Pro XG Aggregation (part number USW-Pro-XG-Aggregation) is a 1U rack-mount Layer 3 aggregation switch with 32 SFP28 ports running at 25G, 10G or 1G, built to connect UniFi access switches, servers and storage at the core of a business network.

It delivers 1.6 Tbps of switching capacity and 800 Gbps of non-blocking throughput, handles inter-VLAN and static routing for local networks, and is adopted and managed from the UniFi Network application. Etherlighting on the SFP28 cages and a 1.3" touchscreen make port status visible at the rack.

Compatibility note: All 32 ports are SFP28 cages — there are no RJ45 data ports, no QSFP uplinks and no PoE. Budget for 25G/10G SFP28/SFP+ modules or DAC cables (not included). Layer 3 routing covers local networks only; it does not replace a UniFi gateway for WAN, firewalling or VPN.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the USW-Pro-XG-Aggregation work with 10G SFP+ modules?
Yes. Each SFP28 cage also runs at 10G and 1G, so standard SFP+ optics and DAC cables can be used and upgraded to 25G SFP28 later, port by port.
Can it replace my UniFi gateway?
No. Its Layer 3 features (inter-VLAN routing, static routes, DHCP) are for local networks. Internet access, firewall rules and VPN still need a UniFi gateway such as a Cloud Gateway or Dream Machine.
What is the difference between the Pro XG Aggregation and the smaller UniFi aggregation switches?
The smaller USW-Aggregation and Pro Aggregation models are built around 10G SFP+ ports with only a few 25G uplinks, while the Pro XG Aggregation has 32 ports that all run at 25G and 1.6 Tbps of switching capacity for larger cores.
