Outdoor Fast Ethernet PoE+ Extender Kit — up to 1 km

Up to 1,000 mIP67PoE poweredPair of 2

The Intellinet 561952 (model IPE-ODFE30) is an Ultra Long Range Outdoor Fast Ethernet PoE+ Extender Kit: two IP67 units that are always used together to carry a 10/100 Ethernet and PoE link far beyond the normal 100 m limit. Intellinet states that the pair adds up to 1,000 m, and that it needs no local power — both units are powered from the PoE source. The published output is up to 30 W at 100 Mbps over 300 m, and up to 15.4 W at 10 Mbps over 800 m. In practice it brings a PoE camera or access point to a gate, car park or pole that is far from the nearest switch.

Compatibility — check before buying:
Fast Ethernet only. Data runs at 100 Mbps over shorter distances and drops to 10 Mbps on the longest runs, and the power that reaches the device falls with distance. You need a PoE source (802.3af/at/bt switch or injector) at the head end — it is not included. The two units must be used as a pair. Check your device’s power draw against the distance before ordering. Not sure? Tell us your model and we check it for you.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do the units need a power socket?
No. Both are powered over PoE from the switch or injector.
How far can it reach?
Intellinet states up to 1,000 m added, with speed and power falling as distance grows.
Is it Gigabit?
No. It is Fast Ethernet (10/100 Mbps).
Can it be installed outdoors?
Yes. Both units have IP67 housings and cable glands are included.
Singular Expert Insight
We use long-range PoE extenders for cameras at gates and poles where fibre would be overkill. Calculate the device wattage at the far end first: a 12 W camera is comfortable, a 25 W PTZ needs the shorter distance. For the head-end PoE, see our network switches.
