Ultron save-E 4" LED Recessed Downlight 12W, 650 lm, 4000K Neutral White, 90° Beam, 135 mm Diameter

The Ultron save-E 4" LED downlight (138092) is a 12 W recessed ceiling light producing 650 lumens of 4000K neutral white light, made for suspended and plasterboard ceilings in corridors, bathrooms (dry zones), small offices and stairwells.

Ultron rates it for 25,000 hours and 15,000 switching cycles. Its 90° beam gives a defined, even pool of light below each fitting, so spacing between downlights matters more than with a wide-angle panel. Overall size is 135 mm in diameter and 64.5 mm in height.

• 650 lm from 12 W makes it a sensible fit for corridors, bathrooms (dry zones), small offices and stairwells.
• 4000K neutral white is the usual choice for workspaces and shops: it keeps text and product colours crisp without the bluish cast of 6500K daylight.
• Check the ceiling void: you need at least 64.5 mm of clear depth above the ceiling, plus room for the mains connection.
• 25,000 hours is close to 10 years at 10 hours a day, five days a week — useful where ceilings are high or access is awkward.
• It runs on an ordinary on/off switch; it is not designed for dimmer circuits.

• It is not dimmable — on a dimmer circuit it may flicker or fail early.
• It is not a plug-in lamp: it is a fixed fitting that must be wired into the ceiling lighting circuit by a qualified electrician.
• Ultron does not publish an IP rating, so do not install it in showers, outdoor soffits or other wet or exposed locations.
