The Verbatim Store ‘n’ Stay NANO is a 32 GB USB 3.2 Gen 1 flash drive built to be left in the port. It measures 18 x 16 x 7.8 mm and weighs about 3 g, and once inserted only around 5 mm protrudes — little enough that a laptop closes on it and a car head unit swallows it. Verbatim publishes read speeds of up to 80 MB/s and write speeds of up to 25 MB/s.
Compatibility — check before buying:
This is a USB Type-A drive with no USB-C connector and no adapter in the pack, so it will not enter a phone, a tablet or a USB-C-only laptop. It is designed to be left in, and that is also its main weakness — a drive that sits almost flush is hard to grip and awkward to pull out of a tight or recessed port. If you will be swapping it between machines several times a day, a full-size stick is the easier tool. Two article-number traps. The NANO name covers two different products:
98709 / 98710 / 98711 are the USB 3.2 Gen 1 drives (16, 32 and 64 GB) at 80 / 25 MB/s, while 97464 and 98130 are older USB 2.0 NANOs, physically slightly different at 17.15 x 14.85 x 7.7 mm and rated at only 10 MB/s read and 3 MB/s write. Same name, one third the speed. There is no 128 GB NANO. One honest note on the OS list: Verbatim’s European page lists Windows 11, 10 and 8 plus Mac OS X 10.4 or higher, and does not list Linux — the drive is a standard USB mass storage device in practice, but that is what the manufacturer publishes.Best For

The NANO is a different kind of product from a normal flash drive, and the right way to judge it is by where it will live rather than by what it costs. Left permanently in a laptop, a smart TV, a car or a media player it does something a full-size stick cannot: adds storage without adding a thing that sticks out and snaps off. Used as a carry-around drive it is the wrong shape — too small to grip, too easy to lose on a desk. The published 80 / 25 is solid for the class and holds across all three capacities. If you want a stick to move between machines, look at the full-size drives in our USB flash drives range instead. For large working files, an external SSD is the right class of product.
