Article 49319 is the USB 3.2 Gen 1 version — same product name, same 128 GB, same black colour, same ribbed shape. Nothing on the outside of the pack separates them except the article number and the USB logo. The practical difference is large: filling this drive from empty at 5 MB/s is a job measured in hours, where a USB 3 drive does it in a fraction of that. The published dimensions are the other tell — 49071 is 54 x 21 x 9.22 mm and 8.6 g, while 49319 is 55 x 19 x 7 mm and about 7 g, and only 49319 has a published keyring hole. If speed matters at all to you, order 49319, not this one. Beyond that: this is a USB Type-A plug, so it needs an adapter to reach a phone and none is supplied.

At 12 MB/s read and 5 MB/s write, this is a genuinely slow drive, and Verbatim sells a USB 3 PinStripe of the same capacity, colour and shape under a different article number. If nobody tells you that, you will find out during your first big copy. There is still a legitimate case for it — load-once archive copies, handouts, equipment that only reads USB 2.0 anyway — and at 128 GB for the price it is hard to argue with for those jobs.
