The Verbatim Store ‘n’ Go PinStripe is a 32 GB USB 3.2 Gen 1 flash drive in a slim black plastic body, 55 x 19 x 7 mm and 7 g. The connector slides out with a push and pulls back in when you are done — there is no cap to lose. It is one of Verbatim’s longest-running everyday drives, and it ships formatted FAT32.

Compatibility — check before buying:
This is a USB Type-A drive with no USB-C connector and no adapter in the pack, so it will not enter a phone, a tablet or a USB-C-only laptop. The thing to check before ordering is the interface, not the colour — every PinStripe Verbatim makes is black, but the family runs in two parallel lines that look identical. 49316 / 49317 / 49318 / 49319 / 49320 are the USB 3.2 Gen 1 drives (16, 32, 64, 128 and 256 GB); 49062 / 49063 / 49064 / 49065 / 49071 are the USB 2.0 drives in the same shape, and they are noticeably slower and slightly chunkier at 54 x 21 x 9.22 mm. If you are re-ordering to match sticks you already have, send us the number printed on one and we will match it. One honest gap: Verbatim publishes no MB/s figure for any USB 3.2 Gen 1 PinStripe — only the bus rate, SuperSpeed USB 5 Gbps, with the note that performance depends on file size and the computer. Curiously it does publish figures for the USB 2.0 versions (up to 12 MB/s read, 5 MB/s write), which at least tells you the floor this drive sits well above.

Why is there no transfer speed on this page?
Because Verbatim does not publish one for the USB 3.2 Gen 1 PinStripe at any capacity — its specification gives only the bus rate, SuperSpeed USB 5 Gbps, and a note that performance depends on the file and the computer. We would rather leave the line honest than borrow a number from a reseller. If a printed MB/s figure matters, tell us and we will point you at a drive whose maker states one.
How do I tell this apart from the USB 2.0 PinStripe?
By the article number, not by looking. 49317 is the 32 GB USB 3.2 Gen 1 version; 49064 is the 32 GB USB 2.0 version. Same name, same black body, and the 2.0 one is rated at just 12 MB/s read and 5 MB/s write. Every PinStripe is black, so colour will not help you.
Does it come with a keyring?
No. There is a hole in the body for one, but Verbatim does not supply a ring or a lanyard in the pack.
Will it work with my phone?
No, not on its own. This is a USB Type-A drive and no adapter is included. A phone needs a drive with a USB-C connector on one end.
