Verbatim Dual USB Drive 32 GB — USB-C and USB-A in 3.6 Grams
USB-C + USB-A32 GB34 mm, 3.6 gCap tethered by a lanyard
The Verbatim Dual USB Drive, article 49966, is a 32 GB USB 3.2 Gen 1 flash drive carrying both a USB-C and a USB-A connector on a body just 34 mm long and weighing about 3.6 g. The cap is held to the drive by a lanyard, so it cannot be mislaid. Verbatim lists Android 4.0 and later alongside Windows, macOS and Linux, and markets it as a way to open files directly from a phone or tablet without copying them across first.
Compatibility — check before buying:
The USB-C end needs a device that accepts USB storage — virtually every recent Android phone and tablet, USB-C iPhones and iPads, and Macs. A Lightning iPhone cannot use it and no adapter is included. The article number to watch is 49457. Verbatim sells a Store ’n’ Go USB-C drive under that code at the same 32 GB with no USB-A end at all, and the two sit next to each other in every listing. This drive, 49966, is the dual-ended one. If any machine you use still has rectangular ports, this is the one you want. Two further points: Verbatim publishes no read or write speed for this article, so no figure appears on this page — and it publishes no supplied file system either, so we cannot tell you whether the 4 GB FAT32 file-size limit applies as it does on several other Verbatim drives. Article 49967 is the identical 64 GB version.
Best For
✓ Opening files directly from a phone or tablet without copying them across
✓ Moving photos and video off an Android device onto a laptop
✓ Households and offices with a mix of USB-A and USB-C machines
✓ Very light carry — 34 mm and 3.6 g
✓ Anyone who has lost a cap and wants one tethered instead
✓ Handing a file to someone whose laptop has only USB-C
Key Features
Both connectors, 3.6 grams
USB-C at one end and USB-A at the other, on a body 34 mm long. It is one of the smallest dual-connector drives on the shelf and removes the need to carry an adapter.
Cap tethered by a lanyard
Verbatim keeps the cap attached to the drive with a lanyard rather than leaving it loose. It is a small thing that decides whether a drive still has its cap in two years.
Android 4.0 and later listed
Verbatim states Android compatibility explicitly, and markets the drive for accessing files straight from a phone or tablet rather than transferring them to the device first.
No Wi-Fi, no account, no app
Verbatim’s own framing: save files directly to the drive with no wireless connection required. It mounts as ordinary removable storage on every platform listed.

Singular Expert Insight
At 34 mm and 3.6 grams this is the smallest way Verbatim sells to cover both connectors, and the tethered cap is a genuinely good piece of design — a cap you cannot lose is worth more over a drive’s life than a few MB/s. Verbatim also does something unusual in listing Android explicitly and framing the drive around opening files straight from a phone. What it does not do is publish a speed, which makes this drive impossible to compare on paper against the Kingston microDuo 3C G3 or the Silicon Power Mobile C51 in our USB flash drives range, both of which state theirs. If that matters to you, buy one of those instead. At 32 GB this is a bridge between devices rather than storage. For large working files, an external SSD is the right class of product.
Buyer’s Guide
Buy it if
You want the smallest possible drive that plugs into both a laptop and a USB-C phone, you like a cap that cannot be lost, and a published speed is not how you are choosing.
Skip it if
You compare drives on published MB/s, because Verbatim states none here. Or you only ever use one port type, in which case a single-connector drive costs less.
Also consider
Verbatim article 49457 if you only need USB-C at 32 GB. Verbatim article 49967 for the same dual drive at 64 GB. Kingston DataTraveler microDuo 3C G3 for a dual-ended drive with a published 200 MB/s read.
