The Vertiv Geist VP7552 is a basic 0U vertical rack PDU with 24 outlets — 20 IEC C13 in banks of five and 4 IEC C19 — rated 16 A / 3.6 kW at 230 V, with an IEC C20 power inlet, for full-height server racks.

It mounts vertically at the back of the rack without using any U space, in a 1207 mm (48") heavy-steel body with tool-less mounting buttons.

Before you order: the inlet is an IEC C20 socket and the input cord is NOT included. You need a C19-to-C20 cord (from a UPS) or a C19-to-plug cord matching your supply. It is a 1207 mm vertical PDU, so check your rack height and mounting rails.

What It Means in Practice

  • Each bank of five C13 outlets is limited to 10 A; each C19 outlet carries up to 16 A, but the whole PDU is limited to 16 A in total.
  • There is no switch and no overcurrent breaker — protection comes from the circuit or UPS that feeds it.
  • C19 outlets suit high-power servers and UPS-fed equipment with C20 inlets.

What Will Not Work

  • Plugging into a wall socket out of the box — no input cord is supplied.
  • Schuko or UK plugs — outlets are IEC C13/C19 only.
  • Horizontal 19" mounting — it is a 0U vertical PDU.
  • Surge protection or metering — this is a basic PDU.
