WD_BLACK P10 Game Drive for Xbox 6TB External Hard Drive
6TBUSB 3.2 Gen 1Portable 2.5-inchBus-poweredBus-powered, up to 130 MB/s
The WD_BLACK P10 Game Drive for Xbox 6TB (part number WDBZRG0060BBK) is a portable 2.5-inch external hard drive connecting over USB 3.2 Gen 1 at up to 5 Gb/s. It is a portable game library: a compact bus-powered drive with a brushed metal top, reading at up to 130 MB/s, sized to travel between a console at home and one at a friend’s place. This part number is the Xbox edition and includes a one-month Xbox Game Pass Ultimate trial for new members.
Before you buy: this is a mechanical 2.5-inch drive rather than an SSD, and Western Digital publishes no shock or drop rating for it despite the gaming positioning. Treat it as a normal portable hard drive: do not move it while it is writing. The drive connects with the supplied USB Type-A to Micro-B cable; if your computer only has USB-C ports you will need an adapter or a USB-C to Micro-B cable, which is not included. It is bus-powered, so the single USB cable carries both data and power and there is no mains adapter to find a socket for.
Best For
✓ Carrying a game library between consoles
Bus-powered and pocket-sized, so the only thing to pack is the drive and one cable.
✓ Expanding console storage cheaply
6TB of external space costs a fraction of an internal console expansion drive.
✓ Older-generation titles
Xbox One and PlayStation 4 games run directly from an external USB drive at usable speed.
✓ PC game overflow
A straightforward place to park installed titles that will not fit on a laptop SSD.
Key Features
Bus-powered
A single USB cable carries data and power, so there is no mains adapter to pack or find a socket for.
Up to 130 MB/s read
Western Digital publishes this read figure, typical of a bus-powered 2.5-inch mechanism.
6TB capacity
The largest capacity in the P10 range, enough for a very large installed library.
Compact metal-topped chassis
118 by 88 by 23.1 mm and 0.25 kg, though note this is the thickest capacity in the range.
USB 3.2 Gen 1
Backward compatible with USB 2.0, so it works with older consoles and computers at lower speed.
Xbox Game Pass Ultimate trial included
A one-month Xbox Game Pass Ultimate trial is included for new members.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I play Xbox Series X games from the WDBZRG0060BBK?
Xbox One and backward-compatible titles run directly from the drive. Games built for Xbox Series X and S must sit on the internal SSD or an official expansion card to run, so the P10 stores them and you copy them across when you want to play. That is still much faster than redownloading.
Does the WDBZRG0060BBK need a power adapter?
No. It is bus-powered, so the supplied USB cable carries both data and power. Only the larger desktop D10 requires a mains adapter.
What is the difference between the P10 and the D10 Game Drive?
P10 is compact and bus-powered at up to 130 MB/s, made to travel. D10 is a mains-powered desktop unit at 7200 RPM with active cooling, up to 250 MB/s, and two USB charging ports. Choose P10 for portability and D10 for a permanent setup.
What do I need to know before buying the WDBZRG0060BBK?
It arrives formatted for immediate use but you may want to reformat it for your operating system, which erases the contents. It is bus-powered from the USB cable. A single external drive is not a backup strategy on its own; keep a second copy of anything irreplaceable.
Singular Expert Insight
The P10 is the sensible choice when the drive needs to move, and at 6TB it holds more than most people will install. Do not read too much into the gaming branding on durability, though, since Western Digital publishes no shock or drop rating for it. As with any external console drive, the real limitation is platform policy rather than the drive: current-generation titles still have to run from internal storage. See our full range of external hard drives or, if speed matters more than capacity per euro, our external SSDs.
Buyer's Guide
Buy this if
You want a large, portable, bus-powered game library that travels between consoles or between console and PC.
Skip if
The drive will stay in one place and you want maximum speed. The mains-powered D10 is roughly twice as fast.
Also consider
WD_BLACK D10 Game Drive for a fixed setup, an internal NVMe expansion drive for playing current-generation titles, or WD My Passport if it is for general file storage.
