WEDO Craft and Outdoor Magnifier with LED 271741599 — 3x Slide Magnifier, Light Comes On As It Opens
3x magnificationLED switches on as you open itBatteries includedPocket size, 48 g
The WEDO craft and outdoor magnifier, article 271741599, is a slim pocket magnifier with a built-in white LED, made for hobby, craft and outdoor use where the thing you need to look at is small and the light is not on your side. The rectangular 35 x 38 mm lens magnifies 3x, and the LED switches on simply by pulling up the top half of the housing — the same movement that brings the lens into use, so there is no separate button to find in the dark and nothing left burning in a pocket. It measures 118 x 47 x 14 mm, weighs 48 g and arrives with its two CR1220 coin cells already fitted. Typically in stock with fast delivery across Cyprus.
Compatibility — check before buying:
The colour is assorted and cannot be chosen: WEDO produces this magnifier in black with yellow, black with blue and black with red, and supplies them mixed, so you will receive one of the three. The lens is plastic rather than glass, and at 3x this is a reading and inspection magnifier rather than a loupe — fine work such as inspecting a solder joint or a hallmark needs more magnification, and WEDO’s PROFI magnifier adds 4.5x and 12x inset lenses for that. It is a handheld slide magnifier with no stand, clip or neck cord; if you need both hands free, the foldable Desk Magnifier POCKET is the model to look at.

Key Features
LED switches on as you open it
The white LED is activated by pulling up the upper part of the housing, which is also the action that brings the lens into use. There is no separate switch to hunt for outdoors in the dark, and closing the magnifier turns the light off — so it cannot be left on by accident in a pocket or a bag.
3x rectangular lens, pocket format
The 35 x 38 mm rectangular lens covers a line of text rather than a single word, which is what makes 3x genuinely useful for small print on packaging, instructions and maps. At 118 x 47 x 14 mm and 48 g it disappears into a shirt pocket, a tackle box or a glovebox.
Ready to use, batteries fitted
Two 3 V CR1220 coin cells are included and already in place, so the magnifier works the moment it is unpacked. CR1220 is a widely stocked standard cell, so replacing them years later is straightforward rather than a hunt for an obscure battery.

Singular Expert Insight
The genuinely good idea here is the switch: the LED comes on as you slide the magnifier open, so there is no button to find in the dark and nothing to leave running in a bag. At 3x with a plastic lens this is a practical everyday magnifier rather than an optical instrument — buy it for reading small print and craft work, and step up to the PROFI model if you need real magnification or to the foldable POCKET desk magnifier if the job needs both hands. Browse our Stationery range for the rest of the desk and reading essentials.
Buyer’s Guide
Buy it if
You want a light, practical 3x magnifier with its own LED for craft, outdoor and small-print reading, with batteries fitted and no switch to think about.
Skip it if
You need more than 3x for fine detail work, you want to choose the colour, or you need both hands free — the PROFI magnifier and the foldable POCKET desk magnifier cover those cases.
Also consider
The WEDO PROFI magnifier with 2.5x, 4.5x and 12x lenses and 3 LEDs (2717550), or the foldable WEDO Desk Magnifier POCKET with LED (27175101) for hands-free work.
