The Wera 1060 i/1062 i/6 is a six-piece insulated screwdriver set for work on live electrical installations: two Phillips drivers from the 1062 i series in PH 1 and PH 2, and four slotted drivers from the 1060 i series in 2.5, 3.5, 4 and 5.5 mm. Every piece in the set is individually tested at 10,000 volts in accordance with IEC 60900, approving it for working at up to 1,000 volts. That is a per-tool test, not a type approval applied to a batch. The handles are the two-component Kraftform design with hard zones for speed and soft zones for torque transfer, and the blades carry Wera’s Black Point tip finish. Compatibility — check before buying:
All six pieces carry the same rating — there is no voltage tester or other lower-rated item mixed into this set, which is worth confirming because VDE sets from several makers do bundle a 150–250 V tester alongside 1,000 V tools. Wera cites IEC 60900 in its documentation; it does not print EN 60900, so we do not either. When comparing dimensions, note that Wera’s tables give blade length and handle length separately, and the handle figure (81 or 98 mm here) is often misread as an overall length. Insulated tools should be inspected before every use and taken out of service if the insulation is cut, cracked or damaged in any way.

Wera tests each piece at 10,000 volts individually, which is a meaningfully different proposition from type approval with batch sampling. The second thing to check is whether the set is homogeneous, and this one is: six tools, one rating, no bundled tester quietly rated at 250 volts. Whatever set you buy, treat insulation as a consumable: inspect before every use, and retire any tool with a nick or a crack rather than trusting it.
