The 8000 A is the smallest Zyklop Speed ratchet, in the matte black chrome Black Edition finish: 152 mm long, 180 g, with a 1/4 inch square drive and ball lock. Its head swivels freely and a slide switch on either side locks it at 0°, 15° or 90° to left or right, so the same tool is a straight in-line driver, an angled ratchet or a conventional cranked one. A knurled thumbwheel reverses direction in any head position — a separate control from the head lock, which Wera’s English pages routinely conflate. The 72-tooth mechanism gives a 5° return angle, and a free-running sleeve lets you spin fasteners down. Typically in stock with fast delivery across Cyprus.
Compatibility — check before buying:
Supplied as a bare ratchet — no sockets, no bits and no adapter. The in-line screwdriver mode at 0° needs a 1/4 inch bit adapter you supply separately. There is no torque measurement or limiting, it is not insulated and not VDE-approved, and it is a hand tool only — never fit it to an impact wrench. If the slide switch is not engaged the head swivels freely; that is by design. The free-running sleeve is for speed — final tightening is done with the handle.
