Wera 950/9 Hex-Plus Multicolour 3 — 9 L-Keys with Rack
9 Keys: 1.5–10 mmBall End Long ArmBlackLaser FinishRack, Clip and Magnetiser
The 950/9 Hex-Plus Multicolour 3 is a nine-key metric L-key set in the BlackLaser finish, supplied with a 9539 clip, a 9109 bench-or-wall rack and a 9538 magnetiser. Sizes run 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8 and 10 mm, each with a coloured grip sleeve keyed to the size and a hexagonal ball end on the long arm for working at an angle to the screw. The Hex-Plus profile enlarges the contact surfaces inside the socket, which Wera credits with up to 20 percent more transferable torque and near elimination of head rounding. BlackLaser gives corrosion protection and a laser-etched size marking that does not wear off. Typically in stock with fast delivery across Cyprus.
Compatibility — check before buying:
The ball end is for angled access only — it must not be loaded at full torque; break the screw loose and do the final tightening with the short arm. Sizes are metric only with no 7 or 9 mm and nothing outside 1.5 to 10 mm. There is no T-handle and no ratcheting function, no torque function, and the set is not insulated and not VDE-approved. The colour sleeves are on the long arm only. Wera counts the set as 10 pieces — nine keys plus one accessory — while the clip and rack are supplied uncounted; some resellers list it as 9.
Best For
✓ General workshop and assembly
✓ Bench positions where keys must stay in order
✓ Bicycle, furniture and machine hex hardware
✓ Users who lose L-keys in a drawer
Key Features
Hex-Plus Profile
Enlarged contact surfaces inside the socket spread the load away from the corners. Wera claims up to 20 percent higher transferable torque and near elimination of head rounding, and the keys still fit standard hex sockets.
Ball End on Every Long Arm
A hexagonal ball head lets the key be swung off the screw axis to reach a fastener that a straight key cannot approach — behind a bracket, inside a frame, under a cover.
BlackLaser Finish
Corrosion protection plus a laser-etched size marking that survives handling, so a key that has been in a toolbox for five years still tells you what it is.
Rack, Clip and Magnetiser
A 9109 rack stands on a bench or mounts to a wall, a 9539 clip detaches so the keys travel, and a 9538 magnetiser both magnetises and demagnetises tips and screws.

Singular Expert Insight
L-keys are the tool most likely to be missing when you need them, which is why the rack matters more than the specification sheet suggests — keys that live in a holder come back to the holder. Beyond that, Hex-Plus is a genuine difference on small alloy hardware, where a standard key rounds a socket long before the screw is tight. The one discipline worth keeping is the ball end: use it to reach, use the short arm to tighten, and a set like this lasts years.
