Bit-Check 12 Wood TX HF 1 is the compact woodworking TORX assortment: seven 867/1 TORX HF bits with Wera’s holding function, where clamping force between tip and screw recess grips the screw so it can be placed one-handed without a magnet, plus two plain TORX and two Pozidriv bits. The twelfth piece is an 887/4 RR Rapidaptor universal holder with a free-turning ring magnet. TX 25 is doubled because it is the size that wears out first on decking and timber screws, and TORX coverage runs TX 10 to TX 40. Everything sits in an SB self-service hang box. Compatibility — check before buying:
These are TORX, not TORX PLUS — a different geometry Wera sells under separate part numbers. Only seven of the eleven bits have the holding function: the two plain 867/1 TORX and the two Pozidriv do not, despite HF appearing in the set name. There is no Phillips in this set at all, unlike the 30-piece version. The TX 40 has a hexagonal blade and no Take it easy colour ring, so it looks different from the rest. The Pozidriv bits are plain 855/1 Z with no torsion zone. Not impact-rated, not insulated. SB is self-service retail packaging, not a tool case.
