The 838 RA-R M is the mid-size Kraftform Kompakt ratcheting bit driver: 123.5 mm of handle with the ratchet built inside and a Rapidaptor quick-release chuck that swaps bits one-handed. It comes with fourteen 89 mm bits — Phillips PH 1 to PH 3, Pozidriv PZ 1 to PZ 3, TORX TX 10 to TX 25, three Hex-Plus hex bits in 3, 4 and 5 mm, and a 1 x 5.5 slotted. A three-position switch selects clockwise, anti-clockwise or 0, which locks the ratchet out so the driver turns rigidly. The whole set folds into a textile pouch that clips into the Wera 2go system. Compatibility — check before buying:
The chuck takes 1/4 inch hex bits, not 1/4 inch square-drive sockets — this is a bit driver, not a socket ratchet, and no sockets or nut drivers are included. The ratchet is 36 teeth with a 10° return angle, deliberately coarser than a Zyklop socket ratchet. It is not insulated and not VDE-approved, and has no torque function. This is the metric version; Wera sells a separate imperial version (05051066001) under the same set name, and reseller listings mix the two up. No PH or PZ below 1, no TX above 25, one slotted size only.

Ratchet Inside the Handle
A 36-tooth mechanism with a 10° return angle sits in the handle itself, so the driver stays as slim as a normal screwdriver while your wrist resets without letting go. Position 0 locks the ratchet out for rigid driving.
