The Wera Kraftform Kompakt VDE 17 RA 1 (part number 05006618001) puts a ratchet inside an insulated screwdriver handle. It pairs the 837 i RA blade-holding handle, which carries an integrated 40-tooth ratchet with a 9 degree return angle, with a standard 817 VDE handle and fifteen interchangeable VDE blades at 157 mm. Every piece is individually tested in a water quench at 10,000 V in accordance with IEC 60900 for approved working at 1,000 V, so the ratchet advantage is available on live-adjacent work rather than only on the bench. The two blades marked number 1 and number 2 are PZ/S PlusMinus combinations, not plain slotted, which many listings get wrong. VDE blades keep their rating only in a VDE handle.
