WKK Plastic Cable Ties 200 × 3.6 mm — Red, Pack of 100
200 × 3.6 mmPolyamide 6.6Up to Ø 53 mm100 pieces · Red
The WKK 200 × 3.6 mm plastic cable tie in red is a one-piece polyamide 6.6 tie for bundling cables up to 53 mm in diameter, sold in a bag of 100 for installers, IT rooms and workshops that want tidy, colour-coded cable runs.
WKK Europe (WKK Nederland B.V.) lists this tie in its universal-use range, which covers 34 lengths and 10 colours. The 200 mm length is the everyday size: long enough for a bundle of a dozen patch cords or a power lead loom, short enough that the tail you cut off is small. The red colour lets you mark a circuit, a VLAN, a customer or a floor at a glance.
Before you order: Only the black version of this WKK range is UV-resistant. This red tie is meant for indoor use; for cables in direct sunlight choose a UV-stabilised black tie.
What's in the Box
- 100 × WKK plastic cable tie, 200 × 3.6 mm, red
- Supplied in a bag (packing unit 100 pieces)
What It Means in Practice
- Bundles up to about 53 mm across — roughly a loom of 20–30 standard patch cords, depending on the cable outer diameter.
- 18.2 kg tensile strength is plenty for holding cables to a rack post, a cable tray or a desk frame; it is not a load-bearing fixing.
- One-piece, non-releasable design: once pulled tight it stays, so cut and replace it when you re-route cables.
- Works from −40 °C to +85 °C, so it is fine inside racks, ceiling voids and equipment rooms.
- Halogen-free and silicone-free polyamide 6.6, UL 94 V-2 flammability rating.
What Will Not Work
- Not UV-resistant — it will become brittle outdoors or behind glass in direct sun.
- Not releasable or reusable — use hook-and-loop (velcro) ties where cables change often, e.g. on patch panels.
- Bundles larger than about 53 mm need a longer tie.
- No mounting head or screw hole — for fixing to a wall or panel you need a tie mount or base.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use these cable ties outdoors?
Not for long. WKK states that only the black ties of this range are UV-resistant. Coloured ties like this red one are for indoor or shaded use.
How many cables fit in one tie?
The maximum bundle diameter is 53 mm. With standard Cat6 patch cords (about 6 mm each) that is roughly 20–30 cords; with thicker cables, fewer.
Can I open the tie again?
No. It is a one-piece, non-releasable tie. Cut it with side cutters and fit a new one, or use hook-and-loop ties at points you re-patch often.
Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
A 200 mm polyamide 6.6 tie is the workhorse of every cable job, and buying it in a colour turns it into a labelling tool: one colour per circuit, network or tenant makes later fault-finding faster. Pair the ties with properly sized
network cables and keep velcro ties for the patch-panel side where cords move often.
✓ Buy it if You need tidy, colour-coded cable bundles inside a building, rack or desk setup.
✕ Skip it if The cables run outdoors in direct sunlight, or you re-route them often — choose UV-black or hook-and-loop ties.
→ Also consider Longer WKK ties for bundles over 53 mm, and black UV-resistant ties for outdoor runs.
