The Zebra Z-Band Direct 10005008 is a white adult wristband measuring 25.4 x 279.4 mm (1 x 11 in), made of direct thermal polypropylene with a tamper-evident adhesive closure, supplied on 25.4 mm-core rolls of 200 for Zebra desktop printers — for patient identification in hospitals and clinics.

Printed on demand with the patient’s name, ID and barcode, it replaces handwritten bands and supports positive patient identification at the bedside. Zebra states that it helps meet patient-ID safety goals, removes the risk of patient data left on used ribbons, and helps prevent medication and blood transfusion errors.

The band is latex-free, waterproof and resistant to smearing, abrasion, alcohol, mild cleaners and hand sanitisers, so the barcode stays scannable through washing and daily care.
