HP Z2 Tower G1i — Core Ultra 7 270K Plus Workstation with RTX A1000 8GB
RTX A1000 8GBCore Ultra 7 270K Plus32 GB DDR5 · 1 TB Gen5Windows 11 Pro · 3-year warranty
The HP Z2 Tower G1i (product number E4LN4ET#ABD) is an entry professional workstation with an Intel Core Ultra 7 270K Plus processor (24 cores, up to 5.4 GHz), the Intel W880 chipset, 32 GB DDR5-5600, a 1 TB PCIe Gen5 NVMe SSD and NVIDIA RTX A1000 8 GB GDDR6. It ships with Windows 11 Pro, Wi-Fi 7 and a 700 W internal power supply.
It is aimed at engineers, architects and designers running CAD, BIM, 2D/3D design and light visualisation — users who need certified professional graphics and HP Z reliability rather than a consumer gaming PC. The tower has room to grow: four DDR5 slots, three M.2 slots and four PCIe slots.
Before you order: German localisation (#ABD): no keyboard or mouse is included, and Windows 11 Pro may be preset to German — additional languages can be installed. The memory is non-ECC.
What's in the Box
- HP Z2 Tower G1i workstation with NVIDIA RTX A1000 8 GB GDDR6, 32 GB DDR5 and 1 TB SSD installed
- Windows 11 Pro pre-installed
- Power cord (German #ABD configuration)
- No keyboard, no mouse and no optical drive
What It Means in Practice
- Certified NVIDIA RTX professional drivers for CAD and DCC applications, with Intel integrated graphics also available.
- Memory: 2 of 4 DDR5 slots used — add two more 16 GB modules for 64 GB without discarding the installed ones.
- Storage: 1 TB Gen5 SSD in the PCIe 5.0 x4 slot, with two more M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0 slots free for project or scratch drives.
- Displays: use the RTX A1000 outputs for your main screens; the two rear DisplayPort 1.4 connectors serve the Intel integrated graphics.
What Will Not Work
- No keyboard or mouse in the box — order them separately.
- The 700 W power supply is not enough for the largest GPUs; HP requires a 1200 W PSU for 450 W+ cards and full 250 W CPU power.
- The installed memory is non-ECC; HP does not state ECC support for this configuration.
- No optical drive is fitted.

Can I add more memory?
Yes. Two of four DDR5 slots are free; HP lists the platform up to 256 GB DDR5-5600.
Is the warranty on-site?
The configuration carries a 3-year HP limited warranty; HP does not publish on-site terms for this SKU. Claims are handled through Singular.
Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
The Z2 Tower G1i is the sensible HP Z entry point when a desktop PC is not certified for your CAD or BIM software: a 24-core K processor, Gen5 storage and RTX A1000 8GB in a quiet tower. If your projects outgrow it, the PCIe 5.0 x16 slot takes larger cards from our
NVIDIA RTX Professional range (check PSU limits first).
✓ Buy it if you need a certified CAD/BIM workstation with a strong CPU and moderate GPU needs at a sensible price.
✕ Skip it if you render large scenes, work with heavy GPU AI or real-time visualisation — take the RTX PRO 2000 Blackwell version.
→ Also consider HP Z2 Tower G1i E4LN6ET#ABD — same system with NVIDIA RTX PRO 2000 Blackwell 16 GB.
