Run your Zebra mobile printer from the vehicle's 12-48 V supply
12-48 V DC inputCigarette lighter plugZQ500, ZQ600 and QLnVans, trucks and forklifts
The Zebra P1063406-133 is Zebra's battery eliminator power supply with a cigarette lighter plug, designed for vehicles that provide 12 to 48 V DC, for delivery drivers, route sales and forklift operators who print receipts and labels from a ZQ500, ZQ600 or QLn mobile printer on the move. Zebra lists it for charging or powering the printer from the vehicle, connected either to the printer's DC barrel jack or to a single-slot cradle.
The wide 12-48 V input covers cars, vans and many trucks and forklifts. For battery-free operation Zebra pairs it with a dummy battery or the battery eliminator vehicle cradle, which are separate parts. Tell us your printer model, the vehicle voltage and whether you want to keep a battery in the printer, and we put together the right kit.
Before you order: For battery-free use Zebra requires the dummy battery (P1063406-032 / P1050667-041) or the battery eliminator vehicle cradle (P1063406-061, ZQ510/ZQ511/ZQ520/ZQ521 only): order these separately.
What's in the Box
- 1 x Zebra 12-48 V DC adapter with cigarette lighter plug (kit P1064241-01)
- Printer, battery, dummy battery and vehicle cradle are not included
What It Means in Practice
- Prints all day in the vehicle without running down the printer battery: the printer draws power from the vehicle supply.
- Plug and play in vehicles with a cigarette lighter socket: no wiring into the vehicle's electrical system.
- The 12-48 V range suits 12 V cars and vans as well as 24 V trucks and many electric forklifts.
- Can feed the printer through its DC jack or through a single-slot cradle mounted in the cab.
- Combined with the dummy battery, it turns the printer into a vehicle-powered unit with no battery to manage or replace.
What Will Not Work
- Not the open-ended version: for a hard-wired installation Zebra offers P1050667-142 (12-48 V, open-ended) instead.
- Not the 12-24 V lighter adapter (P1063406-031) and not the 15-60 V open-ended adapter (AK18913-003): check your vehicle voltage before ordering.
- The dummy battery and the vehicle cradle are not in the box; without them the adapter does not turn the printer into a battery-free unit.
- Not listed by Zebra for ZQ600 Plus, ZQ300 or older RW and QL printers in the guides we used: ask us before ordering for those.
Key Features
Wide 12-48 V DC input
Zebra designed this adapter for vehicles providing 12 to 48 V power. One part number therefore covers mixed fleets of cars, vans, trucks and forklifts, so you stock a single spare.
Battery eliminator design
As part of Zebra's battery eliminator system, it powers the printer directly from the vehicle. Paired with a dummy battery, the printer no longer depends on a charged battery at the start of each shift.
Printer jack or cradle connection
Zebra lists two ways to connect: directly to the printer's DC barrel jack, or to a single-slot cradle installed in the vehicle, so the printer is powered as soon as it is docked.
Wide printer coverage
Zebra lists it for the ZQ510, ZQ511, ZQ520, ZQ521, ZQ610, ZQ620, ZQ630, QLn220, QLn320 and QLn420, which covers most Zebra mobile printer fleets in route sales and delivery.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I keep a normal battery in the printer and use this adapter to charge it?
Zebra describes the adapter as charging the printer from the vehicle through the DC jack or a single-slot cradle. Tell us which printer and battery you use and we confirm the setup before you order.
Which dummy battery do I need?
Zebra lists the battery eliminator dummy battery pack P1063406-032 (also referenced as P1050667-041) for ZQ510, ZQ511, ZQ520, ZQ521, ZQ610, ZQ620, QLn220 and QLn320. For ZQ630 and QLn420 ask us, as they are not on that list.
Do I need a vehicle mount as well?
The adapter only supplies power. For safe use in a moving vehicle the printer should sit in a cradle or mount, or be worn by the driver. Tell us the vehicle type and we suggest a mounting option from Zebra's range.
My forklift runs on 80 V. Will this work?
No. This adapter is designed for 12-48 V vehicles. Zebra's AK18913-003 open-ended adapter is rated 15-60 V; above that, ask us for a solution.
