DS2278-HC adds Bluetooth mobility to the healthcare scanning workflow: staff can take the reader to a wristband, vial or specimen label instead of working within a host cable’s reach. Pair it to a suitable Bluetooth host or use a compatible presentation cradle. This SKU is the scanner-only version; charging equipment and host cables must be selected separately. The application interprets the scanned code and manages the clinical record.

Before you order:
No charging cradle or cable is included. Select a compatible healthcare cradle or suitable Micro USB charging arrangement before use. Micro USB is for charging, not a wired scan-data connection. Use only Zebra-approved disinfectants and follow the reference guide.

  • For example, move to the specimen label and scan into the active field of the compatible host application. Bluetooth carries the code; the clinical software checks the record. Return the reader to its separately chosen charger when needed.
