The Zebra DS2278 is an affordable cordless 1D/2D barcode scanner built for retail POS, hospitality, and light warehouse environments. Powered by Zebra's PRZM intelligent imaging technology, it delivers first-time, every-time scanning of both printed labels and digital barcodes on smartphone screens. With Bluetooth 4.0 Scan-to-Connect pairing, a 2400 mAh battery rated for 14 hours, and a compact design, the DS2278 is ready to scan straight out of the box. This variant includes the scanner and micro USB cable only — a cradle can be added separately.

BUYER'S GUIDE
Best For: Retail POS, hospitality, pharmacy, and environments where both 1D and 2D barcodes need to be scanned — including QR codes on customer smartphones. Choose this black scanner-only variant if you already own a compatible cradle or primarily charge via USB cable.
Scanner Only vs. Kit: This AZW version includes the scanner and micro USB cable only. If you need the presentation cradle included, consider the DS2278-SR6U2100PRW (White) kit or pair this scanner with a separately purchased CR2278-PC cradle.
Know Before You Buy: IP52 means protected against light dust and vertical drips — not suitable for wet or outdoor environments. Cradle not included. The 14-hour battery is rated for typical scanning intensity.
Ready Out of the Box: The DS2278 ships pre-configured with optimised defaults for the majority of scanning applications. No programming required for standard Bluetooth HID use — pair and scan.
