Zebra MC3300x Gun — rugged Android keypad terminal with SE4770 2D imager and 47-key keypad
Gun grip2D imager SE477047-key alphanumeric7,000 mAh · IP64
The Zebra MC3300x Gun (MC330L-GJ4EG4RW) is a rugged Android mobile computer with a physical 47-key alphanumeric keypad, a SE4770 1D/2D imager, a 4-inch touchscreen and 4GB RAM with 32GB storage, built for warehouses, goods-in, picking, stock-taking and production lines where staff scan hundreds of items per shift. The pistol-grip body with a trigger keeps the scanner pointed forward and takes the strain off the wrist during repetitive scanning.
It runs Android 10 with Google Mobile Services on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 platform, connects over 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0 and NFC, and is fitted with the extended 7,000 mAh PowerPrecision+ battery, which can be swapped hot without closing apps. The housing is sealed to IP64 and survives repeated 1.8 m drops to concrete. The SE4770 imager reads 1D and 2D codes, including QR, DataMatrix and codes on phone screens.
Before you order: This is the 45° straight shooter without camera — it does not fit gun-grip holsters and boots, and it has no camera for photos or document capture. No charger or cradle is included.
What's in the Box
- Zebra MC3300x Gun mobile computer (MC330L-GJ4EG4RW)
- PowerPrecision+ 7,000 mAh extended battery (part of this configuration)
What It Means in Practice
- Hot-swap battery: change the 7,000 mAh pack during a shift while Wi-Fi and Bluetooth sessions are kept for a short time, so the picking app does not log out.
- The 47-key alphanumeric keypad lets staff type quantities, locations and text with gloves, without using the on-screen keyboard.
- The 2D imager reads codes up to around 60 cm, in any orientation, including damaged and poorly printed labels.
- Android with GMS means modern warehouse, WMS and ERP apps install as on any Android device, while Zebra’s Mobility DNA tools manage and lock down the fleet.
What Will Not Work
- No charger, USB cable or cradle in the box — order an MC33 cradle (1-slot or 5-slot) or the USB charge cable separately.
- Batteries from the older MC32N0 do not fit the device (they can only be charged in the spare-battery slot of MC33 cradles).
- No camera on this configuration — it cannot take photos for proof of delivery or damage reports.
- Straight-shooter holsters, boots and hand straps do not fit the gun version — and the gun ships without a hand strap.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will my MC3300 or MC3200 cradles work?
MC3300 batteries are backward compatible with the MC3300x. MC32 cradles only charge the device through an adapter cup (charge only, no USB/Ethernet). MC32N0 batteries do not fit the terminal itself.
Which battery should I keep as a spare?
The gun version takes only the 7,000 mAh and 5,200 mAh PowerPrecision+ packs.
Can it be upgraded beyond Android 10?
Zebra’s spec sheet lists an Android upgrade path for the MC3300x (up to Android 14). Updates are delivered by Zebra; tell us your app requirements and we will check the right version.
Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
The MC3300x is the workhorse keypad terminal for warehouses that still type as much as they scan. Choose the scan engine first: the SE4770 2D imager covers every code you will meet, from GS1 labels to QR codes on phones. For smooth roaming between aisles, the Wi-Fi network matters as much as the terminal — we also supply
business Wi-Fi access points.
✓ Buy it if your staff scan and key in data all day, wear gloves, and need a terminal that survives drops and a full shift on one battery.
✕ Skip it if you need a camera, or you scan labels several metres away on high racking (choose an extended-range model).
→ Also consider the MC3300x gun versions for heavy scanning, and MC33 5-slot charging cradles for fleets.
Send us your barcode types and the cradles or batteries you already own — we will confirm compatibility before you order.
