The industrial-green DS3678-HP3U42A0SFW combines a cordless High Performance 1D/2D scanner with its 3100 mAh battery, standard charging/communication cradle, shielded USB cable, power supply and DC cable. The scanner sends decoded labels, QR and Data Matrix codes by Bluetooth to the cradle; USB links the cradle to your compatible host application. An AC mains cord is separate. Your application handles inventory or production records.

Before you order:
This No Line Cord kit needs a separate AC mains cord for its supplied PSU. HP adds OCR, photo and document capture. The 203.2 cm typical far range is for Code 128 at 40 mil, not every barcode; this is not XR/ER optics. FIPS deployment requirements need separate confirmation.

What It Means in Practice

  • Connect the standard cradle to the host using the USB cable. Complete the power arrangement with the included power supply/DC cable and a separately selected AC cord, then charge, pair and configure the scanner.
  • During receiving, scan a carton label while moving around the workstation. The host application records the item; vibration, LEDs and sound confirm a successful decode.
  • Return the scanner to its cradle to charge. AutoConfig and Virtual Tether are available with the appropriate configuration; other wired host interfaces and Network Connect need separately selected equipment.

What Will Not Work

  • No AC mains cord, independent inventory application, Wi-Fi radio or built-in Ethernet port.
  • HP symbol-specific ranges are not XR/ER long-distance specifications. OCR and document transfer require appropriate host configuration.
