The Zebra DS9908 is a purpose-built hybrid presentation scanner — the most versatile scanner in the DS9900 Series. Unlike conventional on-counter scanners, the DS9908 automatically switches between hands-free presentation mode and handheld trigger mode, giving checkout associates maximum flexibility without any manual configuration. In hands-free mode it limits scan range to prevent unintentional reads from nearby items; in handheld mode the range extends to reach items in shopping carts without the associate leaving the counter. At the core is PRZM Intelligent Imaging with an 800 MHz processor and 1280×800 megapixel sensor delivering 240 in/sec swipe speed — one of the fastest in its class — and the widest field of view available in a counter-top scanner. IP52 sealing, elevated electronics, 1.5m drop resistance and a 5-year warranty make it one of the most durable and longest-lasting POS scanners available.
