The Zebra P1083320-010 is the genuine 203 dpi replacement printhead for the Zebra ZT610 industrial label printer, for sites whose printer has started to print streaks, voids or faded barcodes that cleaning no longer fixes.
The printhead is the wearing part of any thermal printer: every label passes under it, and over time dots burn out or the surface wears. Fitting a genuine Zebra head brings the ZT610 back to its original print quality without replacing the printer.
Before you order: Fits only a Zebra ZT610 that is configured for 203 dpi. P1083320-011 (300 dpi) and P1083320-012 (600 dpi) are the other ZT610 heads; the 6-inch ZT620 uses P1083320-015 (203 dpi) or P1083320-016 (300 dpi). Check the resolution on your printer’s configuration report before ordering.

What It Means in Practice
- Replacing the head is the fix when you see white lines running along the label or patchy print after a thorough clean.
- Zebra describes its replacement printheads as easy to install; the procedure is in the ZT610 maintenance guide. Power the printer off and follow it step by step.
- Zebra’s printhead warranty excludes damage from non-Zebra media or supplies and from skipped maintenance, so keep using Zebra-approved ribbons and labels and clean the head regularly.
- Use ribbon at least as wide as the label: a label rubbing the bare printhead wears it far faster.
What Will Not Work
- ZT620 (6-inch), ZT510, ZT410/ZT411 and other models — each uses its own printhead part number.
- Changing a 300 or 600 dpi ZT610 to 203 dpi — Zebra’s ZT600 parts catalog lists no resolution conversion kit, so ask us before ordering for that purpose.
- Printhead cables — on the ZT610 they are part of a separate Zebra print mechanism hardware kit (P1083320-022).
- Faults in the main board, sensors or platen roller — a new head only fixes print-quality problems caused by the head itself.
