The Zebra P1027135-050 is the genuine replacement top cover assembly for the Zebra GK420t, GX420t and GX430t thermal transfer desktop label printers of the G-Series R2.0 generation, supplied with the media window already included. It is the clamshell lid that closes over the label roll and the ribbon, and it is the part to order when the lid is cracked, a hinge has broken, or the window is missing.
A broken lid is more than cosmetic on a thermal transfer printer: if it does not close and latch correctly, the printhead and ribbon are not held in position, dust gets onto the media and the printer may report head-open errors. Fitting the original cover restores the closing action and protects the roll and ribbon again.
Before you order: Fits only the thermal-transfer G-Series R2.0 models GK420t, GX420t and GX430t. Direct-thermal printers have a different lid: GK420d/GX420d use 105934-005 (cutter versions 105934-108/-109, LCD version 105934-049). ZD-series and R1.0 printers are not covered — send us your model and serial number and we will check.

On desktop thermal transfer printers the lid takes all the daily opening and closing for ribbon and label changes, so hinges and the window are what break first. Check that your printer is a t-model and an R2.0 unit before ordering, because the d-models use a completely different lid. If the printer is old and damaged in several places, compare the cost with a new model in our label printers.
