The Zebra P1080383-417 is the original 4-inch full-cut field upgrade cutter for the direct thermal ZD420d and ZD620d desktop label printers: it replaces the standard tear-off bezel so labels, tags and receipt paper are cut automatically — for businesses that keep running their ZD420d/ZD620d and want to add or replace a cutter.
Zebra lists it as "Field Upgrade Cutter for Linered Media, 4", Full Cut" in the ZD620 direct thermal parts catalog and as "Cutter, 4", Full Cut" in the ZD420 catalog, and includes it in the Desktop Printers Accessories Guide for both models.
Before you order: This cutter fits the previous-generation ZD420d and ZD620d only. The newer ZD421d/ZD621d use a different cutter (P1112640-030), and linerless media needs the linerless cutter P1080383-437. Check the model on your printer label before ordering.

- Each label or tag is cut off cleanly at the printer — no tearing against the bar.
- It cuts the liner between labels, or continuous paper and tag stock; it does not cut through a label and liner together.
- Maximum media thickness with the cutter is 0.1905 mm.
- Zebra marks the ZD420d and ZD620d as end-of-life with the ZD421d/ZD621d as successors — this cutter keeps existing printers productive.

- ZD421d / ZD621d (current generation) — use P1112640-030.
- Linerless media — needs the linerless cutter P1080383-437.
- Cutting through the label and its liner at the same time — not supported by Zebra.
- Media thicker than 0.1905 mm.
- Thermal transfer ZD420t / ZD620t are not listed by Zebra for this part number — tell us your model and we will confirm.
