The Zebra CBL-58926-04 is the USB cable assembly for the DS457 fixed mount scanner family: a 9-pin female straight scanner connector on one end and USB on the host end, 6 ft (1.83 m) long. Zebra lists it as the general-purpose cable for DS457 fixed mount installations.
It is a native USB cable, not a USB-to-serial converter — the DS457's 9-pin host port carries both USB and TTL-level RS-232, and this cable uses the USB lines.

What It Means in Practice
- Connect a DS457 kiosk, counter or production-line scanner directly to a PC or POS USB port.
- 6 ft is the general-purpose length; Zebra also offers an 18-inch version (CBL-58926-05) for kiosks and a 9 ft coiled version (CBL-58926-06).
- If you need an external trigger or beeper on the cable, Zebra's cable with trigger jack and beeper is 25-58925-02R — order that one instead.
What Will Not Work
- It is not a USB-to-RS-232 converter for other serial devices.
- It has no external trigger or beeper jack.
- It is not a right-angle cable — for tight enclosures Zebra lists a right-angle 9-pin version (25-58923-01R).
