The Zebra 800283-205 is a box of 12 Z-Perform 1000D direct thermal paper label rolls, 76 x 51 mm per label on a 25 mm core, made for Zebra desktop printers that print shipping, picking, shelf-edge and product labels without a ribbon.

Z-Perform 1000D is Zebra's economy direct thermal material: a smooth uncoated paper face with a general-purpose permanent acrylic adhesive that sticks well to cardboard, plastic film and most packaging. It is the label you use for short-life, indoor jobs where cost per label matters more than durability.

• Direct thermal means the printer darkens the heat-sensitive paper itself, so you only change label rolls, never ribbons — fewer consumables and less downtime.

• The adhesive meets FDA 175.105 for direct contact with dry foodstuffs (or separated by a functional barrier), so the labels can go on dry food packaging.
• Typical jobs Zebra recommends: indoor general-purpose labels, shipping and packaging labels, warehouse picking and receiving, retail shelf-edge and price labels, and product identification.
• Perforation between labels lets you tear off single labels cleanly for manual application.

• Thermal transfer-only printers or printing with a ribbon: direct thermal media is designed to be printed without ribbon.
• Industrial printers that expect 76 mm cores (ZT and ZE series): the 25 mm core is meant for desktop models.
• Long-term labelling, outdoor use, exposure to sunlight, extreme heat, moisture or abrasion: Zebra rates Z-Perform 1000D with limited resistance — choose a synthetic or thermal transfer label instead.
• High-speed printing applications and application on PVC surfaces, which Zebra does not recommend for this material.
• Laser or inkjet office printers: this is roll media for thermal label printers only.
