The Zebra ZD621t-HC is a white healthcare desktop label printer for specimen, pharmacy and identification workflows. This 300 dpi thermal transfer/direct thermal configuration includes a 4.3-inch colour touch LCD, USB, USB Host, Ethernet and serial connections. Its healthcare design combines cleaning-compatible plastics, sealed buttons, UV-resistant housing and an IEC60601-1 compliant power supply. It is one tear-off printer; labels and ribbons are ordered separately.

Before you order:
Match label material and ribbon to the actual cleaning chemicals, required readability and label lifetime. Housing suitability does not make every printed label resistant to disinfectants. BLE 5 supports the Zebra setup app only; Wi-Fi and full Bluetooth printing are not included. Follow Zebra’s approved cleaning instructions.

What It Means in Practice

  • For example, load an approved specimen-label roll and matched ribbon, calibrate the media and print a barcode from the compatible laboratory application over Ethernet. The printer produces the label; the application controls specimen data and record updates.
  • Thermal transfer can be selected for the required label durability, while suitable direct thermal media works without ribbon. Validate the complete label/ribbon/cleaning combination before clinical deployment.

  • You need included Wi-Fi, full Bluetooth printing or an automatic cutter/peeler.
  • Do not assume all disinfectants or UV treatment protocols are approved for the printer or label.
