The Zebra ZT23142-D1E000FZ is a 203 dpi direct thermal industrial label printer with a front-mounted passive peeler. It separates each label from its backing for application, but does not include a spindle to collect the spent liner. A 4.3-inch colour touchscreen and wired USB, USB Host, Ethernet and RS-232 support a fixed labelling station. This SKU prints heat-sensitive media without ribbon; Wi-Fi is not included.
Before you order:
Choose suitable direct thermal labels and confirm the peel-mode minimum label/liner length of 13 mm. Route and manage the spent backing externally; passive peel is different from liner take-up. Validate your software/driver or ZPL/EPL workflow. BTLE is documented for location functionality, not ordinary Bluetooth label printing.

- For example, load a suitable direct thermal roll, connect a workstation by USB or Ethernet, and send the shipping label from compatible software. The printer creates the label; your application controls order and stock data.
- Thread the backing through the fitted peel path, print from compatible software, then take the separated label and apply it to the item. Provide a safe collection route for the loose backing because this configuration has no take-up spindle.
- Up to 305 mm/s is the 203 dpi engine maximum. Label format, media and settings affect actual throughput.
What Will Not Work
- Thermal-transfer ribbons cannot be used with this direct-thermal-only SKU.
- Wi-Fi, automatic cutting, liner take-up and RFID encoding are not included.
