This Zebra ZT23142-T0E000FZ is a 203 dpi industrial label printer with both thermal transfer and direct thermal operation. Use a suitable ribbon and label combination when the application calls for thermal transfer, or heat-sensitive labels without ribbon for direct thermal. This standard tear-off configuration keeps labels on their backing for manual separation. It includes a 4.3-inch colour touchscreen, USB, USB Host, Ethernet and RS-232; Wi-Fi and automatic label handling are optional.

Check both print method and handling before ordering. This is thermal transfer with standard tear-off, not a supplied cutter or peeler. Match the ribbon width/core to the label stock and required lifetime, and verify your software/driver or ZPL/EPL workflow. BTLE is documented for location functionality; ordinary Bluetooth printing is not established for this SKU.

What It Means in Practice

  • For example, load a suitable product-label roll and matching ribbon, calibrate the media and send the design from your application over USB or Ethernet. The label material and ribbon determine the suitability for handling and storage; printer specifications alone do not guarantee label durability.
  • 203 mm rolls and 450 m ribbons reduce reload frequency. Tear-off leaves labels on their liner; select a different handling configuration when the next step needs automatic cutting or ready-to-apply peeled labels.

What Will Not Work

  • Wi-Fi, cutter, peeler, liner take-up and RFID encoding are not included in this standard configuration.
  • Ribbon-based printing needs a compatible ribbon and thermal-transfer label stock; ordinary nonthermal paper will not provide direct thermal output.

Does it cut or peel labels?
No. Standard tear-off output leaves labels on their backing for manual separation. Cutter, passive-peel and liner take-up are different configurations.
Can I connect it by Wi-Fi?
