The Zebra ZT231 (ZT23143-T0E000FZ) is a 4-inch mid-range industrial label printer for warehouses, manufacturing, retail distribution and healthcare that need industrial reliability at an entry-level price.

This configuration prints thermal transfer at 300 dpi up to 104 mm wide and 203 mm/s, with a tear-off bar, and is operated from a 4.3-inch colour touch display. USB, USB host, RS-232, Ethernet and Bluetooth Low Energy are built in.

• Volume: 203 mm media rolls on 76 mm cores (152 mm on 25 mm cores) and ribbons up to 450 m mean fewer media changes than a desktop printer.
• Detail: 300 dpi keeps small text, small 2D barcodes and logos sharp on product, pharmacy and compliance labels.
• Thermal transfer: with a ribbon, labels resist heat, abrasion and sunlight for asset, product and outdoor labels; it can also print direct thermal without ribbon.
• Media: labels 19.4–114 mm wide and 0.076–0.25 mm thick — continuous, die-cut, notch or black-mark.
• Integration: ZPL and ZPL II are built in, so existing Zebra label formats print without changes.
• Operation: the 4.3-inch colour touch display shows status and guided setup, and a real-time clock supports date-stamped labels.

• Cutting or peeling: labels are torn off by hand. Cutter and peel are separate options.
• Wi-Fi: not included; an 802.11ac Wi-Fi card is an option.
• Wide labels: maximum print width is 104 mm; for 6-inch labels choose a 6-inch industrial printer.
