The Zyxel SFP-LX-10-D (91-010-203001B) is a 1000BASE-LX SFP (mini-GBIC) transceiver module that adds a long-reach Gigabit fibre link to a switch's SFP slot over single-mode fibre. Using a 1310nm laser and an LC duplex connector, it reaches up to 10km and includes DDMI for real-time monitoring of temperature, voltage and optical power. It is the ideal way to link switches between buildings or sites well beyond the reach of copper or multimode fibre. Typically in stock with fast delivery across Cyprus.
Compatibility: Plugs into a Gigabit SFP slot on a switch or media converter — designed for Zyxel SFP-capable switches and, as an SFP-MSA / IEEE 802.3z compliant module, compatible with many other vendors' SFP slots. It requires single-mode fibre (SMF, 9/125µm) with LC duplex connectors and a matching 1000BASE-LX device at the other end. It is a 1G SFP module (not 10G SFP+); for short in-building runs a multimode 1000BASE-SX module is more economical.
