The Zyxel SFP-SX-D (91-010-204001B) is a 1000BASE-SX SFP (mini-GBIC) transceiver module that adds a Gigabit fibre-optic link to a switch's SFP slot over multimode fibre. Using an 850nm laser and an LC duplex connector, it reaches up to 550m on OM2 (50µm) fibre and includes DDMI for real-time monitoring of temperature, voltage and optical power. It is the ideal way to connect switches or extend a Gigabit link beyond the 100m limit of copper. Typically in stock with fast delivery across Cyprus.
Compatibility: Plugs into a Gigabit SFP slot on a switch or media converter — designed for Zyxel SFP-capable switches and, as an SFP-MSA / IEEE 802.3z compliant module, compatible with many other vendors' SFP slots. It requires multimode fibre (OM1/OM2) with LC duplex connectors and a matching 1000BASE-SX device at the other end. It is a 1G SFP module (not 10G SFP+), and multimode-only — do not pair it with single-mode fibre or long-reach (LX/LH) modules.
